Default 2003 Dodge Ram Exhaust

Hey guys, First let me say that I'm glad to be a part of this forum.

I just got a 2003 Dodge Ram 4x4 with a 4.7. It has 6700 miles on it now. I'm looking to upgrade the exhaust but I have no clue what to go with. I'm looking for something loud but practical and sounds good. Some people have told me to go with straits and others have said glasspacks. Between those two what should I get? If there are any other mufflers out there that you recommend please tell me as well but I'm not trying to spend too much on the exhaust because there are lots of other upgrades I wanna do as well.

Thanks

I was going to post a reply. But after reading your post a second time, and noticing you don't want to "spend too much", I've decided your answer lies within. So, GO WITH GLASSPACKS.

The shop I've been talking with has described what there going to do like this, Install a Y-Pipe from the Cat and have two pipes going out with a glasspack on each one and then the Chrome tips. That's going to cost $210. What do you think?

I have the 4.7 as well and i just bought exhaust dual exhaust from Heartthrob. Best 250 ive spent on my truck so far. The sound is amazing. a y-pipe comes out from the cat and the tips are resonated to act as mufflers. i plan on taking those off though pretty soon check out my truck website www.cardomain.com/id/kinson33 for more pics.

Me neither mge. I think I'll do headers, hi-flo cat's, and a set of edlebrock mufflers. Just need the funds...
