I painted my exhaust tips black without any problems. You just have to prep them good so the paint will stick.

did you use regular spray paint? I would imagine it would have to be paint that wont melt under high heat right?

I just used regular spray paint and it has lasted for a couple of months so far without any peeling. My exhaust tips don't get very hot which is probably why the regular spray paint is still sticking.

They do get hot on my truck, very hot. If I walk past my truck 20 mins after its been parked, I can still feel the heat radiating off the tips.

Its all in the prep work. If you dont feel safe using anything from wally world or what not go get the High Heat engine Spray Paint at your auto parts stroe. it should cost around 15 bucks but it wont melt from the heat... It might chip tho... unsure about that...

Pyro those are exactly what I want, but black. I have searched around a little still havent found them though.

Is it one pipe going into two tips?

Also do you know if they come in different inlet sizes?

Is it bolt on or weld on?

How do they sound? Got a sound clip?

I am going with 3" exhaust and would like to bolt or weld it right up without a reducer.

The tips are called Camaro tips from Silverline: http://www.ansaautomotive.com/Silver...s/Univ_T3.html

The are weld on, and you get get them in 2.25 or 2.5 inch inlets.

I know you said you were planning on 3 inch exhaust, without reducers, but I don't recommend it. A full 3 inch system won't have the velocity you need to scavenge the exhaust properly. I've got a single 3" pipe coming from the headers that goes into a single Cherry Bomb Extreme muffler that is 3" inch inlet, dual 2.5" outlet and to the tips as you see them. So it is actually 2 pips coming off the muffler to two separate tips, not one pipe into a split tip.

And yes, I do have a sound clip:

Yes, I know the flowmaster sticker is still on the truck in the picture, I peeled it off yesterday
