I have two 05 Rams and I have come across an issue that has happen a couple times with both trucks. Some times when I put the trucks in reverse they both die down in the throtle and stall out. One truck does it more then the other but I though it was from backing up my trailer however the other truck which has the hemi has done this when Im just backing up. Any ideas?

 

I thought i seen somewhere that it was a TSB. meaning lots of guys having the issue. if i recall, a simple ECU reprogram seemed to help the issue. Not 100% though

Never had any issues with this on my 05'

 

I also believe there was a TSB late in 2005; I had this happen a couple of times during the hot Texas summer of 05'. It really was not a big deal but then I made a few mods and added the Super Chips Tuner at 6,000 miles, set it at performance tune and have not had it happen again.
