Default 2007 Ram 3500 4x4 Dually Wobble vibration

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 dually 4x4 with 5.9 diesel. Truck has 44,000 miles on it.I feel a vibration/wobble while driving at low speed or coasting in nuetral at low speed. This problem has come on suddenly. The vibration/wobble is severely more noticeable while braking or slowing down. It does not feel like it is coming from the brakes. Feels more like drivetrain. I have checked all u-joints but all look/feel good. I have jacked up rear end and run unit but cannot feel anything so I assume it is front end. I noticed right outside tie rod had slight movement/wear and figured for sure that was the problem. Had to replace it with Dodges wonderful steering upgrade which cost over $600 CDN. Problem still exists . The tires are Toyo M55 and were installed first part of November. I will check tire balance , bent rim , etc. Any other clues???

Sounds like your driveshaft needs to be re-balanced or your u-joints have some play. Worn u-joints or driveshaft have a re-occuring cycling vibration. Like lower/louder/lower/louder. very steady and chages with rpms

Default 2007 Megacab rear end vibration

Bought new 2007 3500 4x4 dually megacab. Had rear end vibration when drove off the lot--September 2007. Was a Saturday so no mechanics. Have had the truck in and out of shop to determine vibration 6-7 times in 1-1/2 years. Mechanics claim to find no vibration.

Am now at 33,000 miles and FINALLY "a" lone mechanic has noticed the vibration, but say it's because tires are wore out. So switched tires from 2003 dodge 4-dr dually truk I have (no vibration in this other truck). The 2007 megacab still has vibration--the tires from the megacab are now on the 2003 truck and the 2003 has no vibration with the megacab tires on it now.

Mechanic says 2003 dually truck tires are wore out too and is STILL the reasoning for vibration. Will NOT consider that it "might" be a drivetrain issue. Claiming it is all in the tires. Said the tires from the 2003 cannot show reasoning because the "tire placement" is different for the two trucks. I dunno doesn't sound right to me.

How can this vibration be due to worn out tires if it has been present since the truck was driven off the lot 33,000 miles ago. Early on the vibration was most noticeable when it had a trailer hooked onto it. Now it doesn't matter.....just basic driving it vibrates your butt. Most noticeable at speeds 50+. Mechanic said drive train vibration will always be there no matter speed you are driving so it has to be a tire issue.

Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Take it to another dealer. A new truck with vibrations is definitely NOT normal.

to answer the first question , i have seen vibrations from separated tires. they sometimes look normal on inspection but they probably won't balance. I followed behind a couple of people i know and saw the separated tire from the back.

mines got it too, but i found out its the front driveshaft, its not balanced or something, mostly noticeable above 70...just take out the front shaft and see if that fixes it, and if it does take it to a driveline shop and have it balanced

i had the same problem with a dodge 3500 it was the clutch there is a change up kit paid around 1500 for it which isn't bad considering the flywheel alone is 1100 but in the six speed tranny dodge went to a funky fly wheel that has springs in it and the fly wheel breaks up and causes a vibration at an idle
