Okay i beat all my buddys i have a 06 dodge ram hemi quag with the 17s and stock tires bully dog tripple gas programmer throttle body spacer and K&n cold air intake.......

how could it still beat me when i acutally got traction from the start he barely barely barely beats me when we race from a role ill get him a little bit then he comes back by by like a inch of his nose......is it just me or is something wrong???

BTW his truck is COMPLETLY STOCK TITAN loaded with 20 inch rims and big tires.......

titans are pretty fast. ive raced one before and it was pretty much a tie. what gears do you have?

 

It your transmission, You're drivetrain loss is close to 30%, the Titan's are losing 12% tops. Not to mention a Titan is lighter than a QCSB Ram.

 

i dont know what gears i have but it really pisses me off i spent prolly 1k on mods and i cant beat a stock titan......think next is a full blown exhuast headers and all then from that ill do a cam and a lil bigger throttle body.....think ill be street reliable still?

 

just get 4.56s gears then you will beat him

 

Titans have good torque and a better tranny...not sure on their gearing. The run sounds about right but details wouldn't hurt...is your ram a 4x4,which gears do you have, is the titan the extended cab or crew...2wd 4wd?

BTW your throttle body spacer is useless on a dry manifold....a good flowing catback (not flowmaster) will really help your top-end.

 

A Fastman TB is a good investment, pacesetter LT headers are a good choice for the hemi. As far as cams go, you're options are kinda limited right now. KRC's cam grinder went under, so for the moment no more custom grind KRC cams. I think Marty is still selling Comp Cams, but it'll be a few months before his custom cams are available again. There should be a sticker in your glove box that will have your gear ratio on it. It's probably 3.55, maybe 3.92 if you have the tow package.

 

how is that possible i have an 08 with 35's cherry bomb intake and cold air intake and i beat a titan not once but twice

 

im thinking he has 3.55 gears...

 

I just looked up some info on Titan gearing, they are available with 2.94s or 3.36s, but in conjunction with their transmissions, the 2.94s are comparable to a 3.73 in a Ram and the 3.36s are comparable to a 4.10 rear in a Ram.
