This is the truck i have been looking at......

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1005147.htm

Its perfect in everyway except it is fitted with the Magnum instead of the Hemi. Thats the thing thats putting me off after the comments and advice some of you guys have made.

The truck looks clean, but is that a good price?

Its about right. Remember we are going to pay more for the trucks over here,as they are not as plentiful, and are seen as a niche product.

well my opinion would be to look for a hemii bc that one is a 5.9 so the only difference you are getting between the 2nd and 3rd gen you would be the look of the truck..

Will the ride be the same. Is the Hemi that much more better over the Magnum?.

The ride is very good on a 3rd gen truck. The 5.9 magnum is not very good compared with a 5.7 Hemi, the first year that I think you can get a Hemi in a 3rd gen 1/2 ton truck is 2004. In 2003 the Hemi was only available in the 3/4 or 1-ton trucks. In 2006 the Hemi was changed to the MDS version that has improved fuel economy. I owned a 2005 1/2 ton with the Hemi and I would get around 18 mpg in town and 20 on the highway.

I currently own a 2003 3/4 ton 4x4 Hemi quad cab that was purchased new in 2003 and I have had no problems with it. The MPG on the 3/4 ton trucks is worse then the 1/2 tons. My average MPG is 12-15.
