I'm just gonna paint my set of 07 aluminum 20's. powdercoating is expensive as hell.

just get a set of black steel rims. you can pick them up pretty cheap. and tires would be alot cheaper in 17's

i have seen pictures of the chrome clad removed and the steel rim painted. it wouldnt look bad but the cover is about 1/8" thick and it fills in around the lugnuts, if you take it off it doesnt really look that good.

i just purchased rims for 500 shipped and installed. thats about what it would cost for you to have your rims powdercoated.

These should be aluminum underneath, My 08 chrome clads are.
