Default lookin for anymore easier power upgrades for my 02 dodge ram 4.7L

looking for anymore power upgrades i can put on my 2002 dodge ram 1500 standard cab, short bed, 4.7L V8, Automatic, i have already put on dual glass packed exhaust, throttle body spacer, my own dual ram air intake, superchips power programmer, and have electric fans to replace the mechanical one on it, im thinking of more upgrades that arent to labor or wallet intensive!! im thinking maybe like headers, high flow cat, etc... but im not looking to supercharge or turbo it, or put a cam or anything like that yet, so any input or ideas would be great, thanks

It looks like you have some of the basics covered. You could try replacing the throttlebody with one from the fastman http://www.thefastman.com He rebuilds throttlebodies to true 68mm or what ever you want. They aren't to expensive either.

Did you replace the factory Y pipe yet? Worth 10 hp. An underdrive pulley will help a little also... Are you running synthetic oil?

Get rid of the throttle body spacer, it does nothing good for your engine. Headers, replace the Y-pipe, fastman TB all good mods.

yeah, you are on the right track. The e-fan was a good 'un. Headers, Y-Pipe, TB should be next.
The stock cats are pretty high flow, I don't know that going to high-flows would net enough to justify the cost...

From what I've gathered on this forum the stock Y pipe is very inefficiant at moving exhaust gasses. The underdrive pulley is nice. The only problem with it is that you only get a balancer pulley. So when you sit at idle with running your A/C, lights and every other electrical item the Alt can't keep up. At least that was the problem I had running it on my 4.7.

The factory Y pipe is junk. Yes, it physically does the job of combining the exhaust flow from both sides of the engine into one pipe, but not efficiently. It smashes both pipes from the manifolds into two half circles which are welded to the center pipe. It is far better to replace it with a Y pipe from Flowmaster or Magnaflow. It's worth 10hp.
