superchips vs edge programmer?
Has anyone used the edge programmer for the 5.7 hemi? will it run the same type of programs as the superchips tuner, I was leaning toward the edge because it has a dash mount and you can switch setting on the fly? Looking for one soon so please help

If Edge had made a programmer for other years besides the 07 I would have bought that when I was programmer shopping.

Agreed, the few people I know with them on their '07s rave about them. Don't know why they don't do other years. Although I know that SC and Diablo both say that Dodge trucks are the single biggest nightmare to write a tune for, so maybe they learned their lesson when coming up with their '07 tune and don't want to deal with the hassle anymore...
Why are the ram so hard to write tunes for? Imagine the response edge would have though if they made tuners for the other years. Wishful thinking, but I wish they would write one for the 4.7. that would be on my list.
I've heard a bunch of reasons from the techs. Not just the SC ones that post here, but Diablo techs who USED TO BE ON ANOTHER SITE (long story), SCT techs and from techs on SC and Diablo's own forums.
Biggest reasons they give are:
1) Chrysler's refusal to release specs, unlike GM and Ford.
2) No uniformity in PCM models even within the same year.
3) Over-all way in which the code is written by Chrysler's engineers, like combining Torque Management with ABS braking module (Currently giving Diablo fits with certain PCM's)
and a few other reasons...
From the way I've heard some of the actual programmers talk, the Chrysler PCMs are just an over-all bi*ch to write tunes for and it's the reason why Chrysler support lags far behind tuners for GM and Ford...
