k&n is over priced. You can buy a clone on ebay for 1/4 the price.

That's silly, Volant is a very nice product. Honestly, all of these cold air intake kits add minimal horsepower. You might as well go with the product that you think looks the best. Personally, I think Volant outdoes all of the competition. I like how their filters remain enclosed like the factory air box, and draw air from the factory air duct. The K&N is wide open, susceptible to hot air....I'm dubious of a heat shield protecting it from heat, let alone contaminants. When the time comes, I intend to purchase a Volant intake.

A drop in K&N filter I bought from Advance for $35 when they had a sale and a DiabloSport Predator for $319 during Christmas are the only 2 engine mods I have. i have a catback otherwise.

I would much rather do what i did and save the $300 for a CAI that my dealership would be crying about and put that to a tuner to disable the mds.

If you are set on getting a name brand CAI, look on eBay for one. You can get them much cheaper on there. For example, I got my full Airaid intake with filter for something like $60 or $70.

I believe there are two styles? i have seen two diff. types in pictures on a Hemi. A short tube and long tube appears to be and priced accordingly. There are diff part numbers that I noticed because i was afraid of the same thing, but then just decided against it altogether.
