oh man...i've replaced them 3x now...it seems to act up when it gets hot and humid out....mine did it just the other day....it's ur multifunction switch...its easy to change out...3 screws and it pops out....all one piece...its ur turn signal assembly...250 is stupid high...i paid like...60 bucks for the part...and about 30-45 min install...so easy.
I just ordered my 3rd one today @ 79k miles for my 06 3/4 ton .. (paid $90 shipped from dealer) I called dodge when the second one went out and again today. They act like i'm full of $#!+ and im the only person in the united states that has ever had this problem. The mfs works by keeping a certain resistance range on electrical signals to the tipm, therefore operating wipers, blinkers, etc. Boils down, it's a little electrical p.o.s. that helps various computers talk to each other so you have to take it to the damn dealership, rather than pull out a test light like our grandaddy use to. They are fairly easy to put in yourself. Just make sure you disconnect the negative battery cable and wait about 2 mniutes for the capacitor to discharge. Hopefully preventing accidental airbag deployment. hope this helps

I'm not sure of the part # , mine should be here mon or tues. I'll get it and post it on here for you. It is refered to as a "multi-funtion switch" by every parts guy and customer service rep that i've ever talked to..
You have my curiosity... Tell me more, I'm on my 3rd switch and my truck has never been off the pavement (i.e. dirt). And i'm positively sure i haven't had any grease near the interior.
