Default Spicer Gears

Hey I was wondering if anyone has heard of spicer gears? Does anyone have them? I found a seller selling them but didnt really know about them. thanks guys

Just another name. They are made for Chrysler mainly for the Jeep models. They are worthy if that's what you need to hear...lol

haha, funny you should mention spicer. Hammer might have a different opinion on this, and I might get roasted, but here we go.

I refer a lot to my jeep because when I had it, I did a ton of research on running gear. When I decided to regear, I went with the spicer gears. Company has been around for years and are run in all different applications from our trucks to big trucks.

I personally was thinking about running the spicers in my truck when I regear, not only to be different, but because I know a lot of guys who run em, and havent had a lick of problems. Let me tell you, they run em hard!!!

Let me get back to you, with some concrete research.. lol, forgotten a little.

I've used Spicer U-Joints in my old Dakota, and they were great. I replaced the stock "lubed for life" ones with the Spicer that had a grease zerk on the end, and never had a problem with them.

ok thanks for the info guys. well i can get them for 300 or obo (the guy seems pretty desperate) they are brand new and come with the install kit. is this a good deal? how much for an install at a shop? there is a 4wheel parts 20min away from me

I'd say that's a good deal. I thought Spicer was a child brand of Dana??

yea thats what i think bc i did a search and dana always came up. on a side note, you got to uta?

i think our trucks come stock with spicer gears. i know my 99 durango had stock spicer everything on it. from gears to u joints.
