Dont be so scared to ask questions when Yyou have already tried searching and did not find anyhing. Some people just get upset (Ok maybe its just me) when peoples first post is a simple question that could get aswered in 5 seconds by doing a search but didnt bother doing one.
Now if you have an important question like "how big of tire can I use with stock suspension" go ahead and PM Ramhunter He will be more than happy to answer your question...

you really want to go there alphe???? would be funny thow , but i also play dirty lol..
thanks, some creativity out there. right now im debating on 4" or 3" diameter intake. would the 4" setup benefit me with the 4.7 engine? plus i have the stock exhaust which may be somewhat restrictive. also can i use metal pipe or tubing instead of pvc? i have access to some stainless steel here at work. i have some 3" sch 10 316LSS. will this cause any problems with heat or anything? thanks for all the help.

i did a little research. i found that the industry dose use stainless steel tubing for some CAI's. now if i can round up some elbows (90's or 45's) i will fit it up and have the shop weld it. i allways have the option of using rubber couplings on the bends like others have. i think the stainless will look good polished up. i also have access to some sheet metal to fab a heat shield.

The stainless will look nice but if ur gonna do stainless why not buy a spectre kit from autzone or order one online. I would pull my hair out of I had to fab one out of nothing and theres premade ones down the street for a comparable price. I just finished my homedepot CAI and it sounds a little better then the stainless premade on my buddys truck. 25$ for the pvc from homedepot 25 for the filter from autzone and 10 for the mini oil breather(not necessary but looks cool).
