Just finished up my diy intake from homedepot. Sounds really nice(nice woosh noise ) I got in paint and drying in my garage right now so ill have some pics in the morning. Does the TB get really hot? I have a regular rubber connector from homedepot connecting the TB to a PVC elbow. Think it will melt or am I good?

You're fine with the coupler from home depot, I had to use a fernco 3 to 3 for my intake and it's been fine.

I used all 3 inch parts
1 elbow
a 2 foot length of pvc
1 rubber elbow
1 rubber connector

10minutes with the parts a hack saw and tape measure and runs beautiful.
