6.1L valve spring height
It's not just about spring rates. It's about metal fatigue. But don't just take our word for it- call any of the top mopar shops in the country and they'll confirm this. Have your mechanic call, then he can actually learn something about cams for the hemi.
I know you'll take this the wrong way, but if he doesn't even know about the old 6.1 spring swap trick, then he doesn't know a damn thing about the hemi. And I wouldn't let him touch my truck. The 6.1 spring is the oldest trick in the book.

About those 6.1 valve springs... Whats the deal with the steel collar around them. Do they get installed with those? I am doing the same thing to my 5.7. I just bought the springs from chrysler nothing else. is that all i need?

i didnt even notice that!! Jay you suck... good catch Teach. this thing is from back in May, and im sure they are the springs he sold to Weed (only before he tried selling them)
