Did they have an option for satelite radio in 05? Could have been for that.

It is for options you donot have. 4x4, power pedals, etc. Unless you have a top of the line all options included truck you will have one of these or both...dont worry, I used the power off of one for interior LEDs!

Nope. I got 4x4 and all the bells and whistles and its an 03 quad cab and I got one too. I searched the wiring diagram and found nothing so I asked a Dodge dealer mechanic and He looked at me like I had two heads when I tried to explain to him about the plug. I think that that plug is about as useless as **** on a bull...

I found that my truck has 2 spare plugs behind the center dash bezel. One is a simple 2 wire plug with a red and a black wire. Obviously power for an accessories I don't have. The other is a 6 pin (or 8, I don't remember exactly) plug. Could it be for the factory power sliding window? Isn't the switch there in the center of the dash on trucks with that option?

heated seats (one plug for each seat switch), rear slider, airbag switch, trx traction switch, etc

My dash has four or five of those plugs and my truck is loaded.
