2008 RAM 4.7L BIGHORN Auto Trans, Crew Cab, stock 20's


I searched and found nothing usefull Questions:

1. Is there a bolt on turbo or supercharger kit available or in the works?

2. What programmer or chip offers the most versatile options? example..speedodometer fix for bigger tires, shift points etc...

3. Whats the biggest tires you can run on stock 20's without lift or maybe a level kit..?

Well being fairly new to this forum myself I feal your pain about the ****ty search function on here. I swear every time that I need to look for something on here that I know has been brought up on here numerous times in the past I get what seems to be nothing but usless info most of the time. It seems much worse than all the other forums I am a part of.


I do think you should have been able to find out about the tire sizes though. that has like a million threads on here. You can go to 33'' tires on your truck all stock. If you put either a leveling kit or a body lift then you can stuff 35's under there.

As far as the turbo or supercharger I think that you wont find much help here with that. I think that most people that are spending the time and money to do those are running them on the Hemi's and not so much on the 4.7's.

I dont have a 4.7 but I think your options are about the same when it comes to a tuner, either look into a Superchips tuner Or a Diablo tuner.

3. superchips is your only tune. diablo is for hemi only

 

Ive looked into a supercharger for my 4.7 too. Paxton made one for a short period of time from what i understand but they are no longer making a kit for the 4.7. I have also found a kenny bell?? I think thats what it was. i googled ram 4,7 supercharger and thats what i got. I found the paxton info on krcperformance. so for the long post just want to let u know what i found on the sc

 

Your main performance upgrades for the 4.7 is going to be first intake, exhaust then a superchips 3815. This is the only 4.7 option. Then you can take it another step, and regear. Afterwards, your going to want to look at cams, headers, ported and polished heads. Then from there, consider doing a supercharger.

Now, as far as the search option goes. Ive used it many times, and have had success, you just have to word it correctly, and know what your looking for.

 

No SC for 2008 4.7 yet...

07 and 08 4.7 are not the same.
And when you use their search by vehicle funtion 08 4.7 does not come up as an option...

 

i know the 07 and 08 4.7s just going from there site. dont really care though i have one

 

I have the same exact truck, the only tuner for the 08 4.7 is the hypertech tuner. I dont have it so, dont know if its good or not.
