Question 2006 ram hemi help needed

my 06 hemi is starting to give me some issues.

1st, let me fill you in on the girl... 5.7L, SLT, 2WD., with K&N Intake, Throttle Body Spacer, True Dualed (cat back) with MagnaFlo's....and aprox 58,000 miles, with Royal Purple oil being the only oil she has ever seen... I think she has been taken care of pretty well.

Now, the issues....
#1 When I'm cruising at 35-45 mph, she is starting to feel sluggish...almost like a serious tune up is needed (like she is missing) or possibly transmission or rear end issues... when I cruise at 65-70, there are no issues.
#2 (this one has happened a couple of times) After I start the girl up, and get out of my driveway, then get to my stop sign (aprox 300') and come to a stop, SHE DIES!... COMPLETLY SHUTS OFF, and the "check engine gauges" light comes on. so I put it in park or neutral, turn the key, and she starts right up, like nothing is wrong. and I can go on my merry'ole way... obviously a little freaked out, and pissed.
#3 The Damn "check engine" light comes on then goes off...which it has done pretty much since the exhaust was dualed out....so I figure, O2 sensor is the obvious choice here...

So, any suggestions, comments, knowledge, or help with these issues would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Try to get the code read when it comes up. Have you changed your plugs yet? That made a difference in my 06. The plugs were out by .01" after 50 k. Have you cleaned your throttle body? As far as I know the hemis all have a bog around 45mph. I sure do. Maybe you notice it more now with the duals?

Intermittent dying seems to be pretty common...a 100 rpm surge causeing a higher idle when first coming to a stop is common too. I'd remove the throttle body and give her a good cleaning...put it back on without the useless spacer . Some say the EGR causes the dying but I think it's just an issue with the drive by wire....mine hasn't died yet but I get the surge 30% of the time.

No, I have not changed the plugs yet, that was my 1st guess as well, So... I SHALL DO THAT TOMORROW! I'll clean the throttle body as well and take the "useless" spacer off as well, and see what happens....I am getting tired of the spacers whistling noise anyways. lol. Been thinking of going with a programmer as well, any suggestions?? everyone keeps telling me superchips is the best to go with, and I've been told that it can diagose engine lights and turn them off as well... Is that true?

Yes this is true. Its quite a handy thing to have. Superchips is a great tuner as long as you dont plan on going crazy with mods. If you are going to get extensive, maybe give diablo a try. I have superchips and might be switching. I havent decided yet.

well, I'll probably go with superchips... I don't forsee any crazy mods in the near future. I told myself that I wanted to get to 400 HP and I would be happy. I have never had it dyno'd after my current mods, but I think I'm pretty close to that... I mean I started out with 345 HP.... so, it's gotta be pretty close...

now it's just deciding whether to go with 3815, or 3865.... any sugestions?

The only difference between the 2 is the size. The 3865 is the newer version that can fit in one of those cell phone holders. Other than that I dont think that there is any difference. Im no dyno expert but with an exhaust and $100 paper weight I dont think that you will be near 400hp

I say "useless" because on a dry manifold they do nothing....now on wet manifolds like with carbs yes they do work.

Crank horse doesn't mean anything...it's what you have at the wheels that counts. Stock hemi's put down around 270rwhp depending on the type of dyno used. If you have 400 at the crank and start bragging about having 400 ponies anyone that knows anything will laugh at ya.

For the programmer, new the superchips and predator cost close to the same...might as well get the most for your money which would be the predator. Used you'll be able to find a SC for less.

Don't go to a dyno, you'll cry! I bet you ain't making near 300 RWHP! I've got more performance mods than you and am probably not making 330...

lol. i wasn't implying 400 at the wheel. I know better than that. lol. but right now i'm shooting for 400 from the motor... I wont put that much $$$ to get her to 400 at the wheel. although, it would be fun to have.
