Just got my Line of Fire tailgate lights and was set to install them but I noticed that the spare tire crank hole is right there on line with where I would be mounting it. Who has done the install and what about the hole??

Remove the plastic trim piece and then mount the bar. Make sure you put it low enough so the tailgate can open without crushing the light bar. By removing the peice on my truck I was able to mount the bar flat and the spare tire tool still fits through the hole.

 

Thanks red06Ram, I thought about triming just a little off the plastic (like a halfmoon) of the light bar too that goes over the hole just to make the hole accessable. I don't want to crush it when opening the tailgate either.
