Default Leveling Kit and New Wheels

Well, it's done now. I must say I am pleased with the results.
I did the 2" front leveling kit from Fat Bob's with the Fabtech shocks. I also replaced the rims with Cragar Soft 8s sized 17x9.

I will bump up the tire size when these wear out to most likely a 285/70 or something like that.

As you can see, the 2" kit actually raised it a little more than that. I imagine over a little time the springs may settle a little more into the spacer? But I like the look. It changes the attitude of the whole truck.

Thanks.

It was the spacers and two Fabtech shocks that are longer to make up for the 2" height. You can do just the spacers, but that kind of maxes the stock shocks out and the ride quality suffers. I did not attempt to do this myself. We just moved and I have not gotten all of my tools organized and in place! LOL

I had it done at a local shop. After the lift, you have to get a front end alignment as well.

Looks good, you should black out those center caps though.

Just noticed that you live in Sugarland, sweet. I live in Richmond. Pecan Grove actually.

I thought about the black centers, but I decided to go with the chrome for now to break it up a little. Hell, it will probably change soon anyway!

I am a little confused, you put longer shocks on the front of an 08? Is your truck a 2wd? My truck has struts not shocks.

Looks good.
How much did it all cost, parts/labor, if you don't mind me asking?

It is 2wd - the 4wd kit is different. This kit consisted of two Fabtech shocks and two spacers from Fat Bob's Garage for about $170. The install with the alignment was about $210. I also was quoted prices of $350 - $500, so shop it around.

Truck looks sick. Love the rims quite a bit. I like the look of black and chrome. But I think that your truck would look nice without the bottom valence. Not sure though.
