please, i need help bad ...
so i was goofing off in my truck and one thing led to another and i went to launch in 4 hi on the asphalt and there was a vibration in the drivetrain once i got up to about 15 mph, and now the truck vibrates whenever moving. does anyone konw what i may have dont to my truck, i dont really know where to start checking. i plan on checking it out tomorrow, like the tires and suspendion and the drivetrain, any suggestions on what to look for possibly? now i am pretty good with vehicles, so ill check the wheels and tire balance, but other than that, any tricks to troubleshoot or anything like that?
can you feel where the vibration might be coming from? is it isolated to one corner or is it just the entire truck vibrating?
is the vibration proportionate to your speed?
is the vibration proportionate to your speed?
Is the vibration in the steering wheel?
Check your tie rods and sway bar links, possibly bent depending on how hard you launched. Not a good idea to do that my friend. If tie rods are bent, it would cause your steering to be impaired, and cause your front tires to tow in, giving it a constant vibrations.

i had this problem once. vibration and the truck went to the left (the steering was being pulled to the left). i was scared but i changed my tires and all was fine. if your tires r old check them.
the biggest problem is that i cant feel the vibration in the steering wheel very much at all (not near as much as i can in the seat) so little in fact that i can second guess myself as to if it really is in the steering wheel; and it is proportional to my speed, but significantly more noticeable at 65 mph and up.

best advice is just start ruling stuff out...
here's the problem i have with that ... things that rotate ... tranny, xfer case, driveshafts, differentials, axles, wheels excluding the gas tank, thats pretty much everything under the truck
. dont get me wrong, and thank you very much for the help, but im kind of at a loss here. i just have this sick to my stomach feeling, and im very sad. but you are right, i just have to start ruling things out. thanks.

First thing Id check would be the cheap things, take it down and get the wheels balanced and rotated (you could have thrown a balancing weight an one of them), then take it down to have the alignment checked. If both of those wont get rid of the vibration, I'd check the diffs to make sure there are no large chuncks of metal floating back there (but I would think you would know if it was a blown or almost blown diff), then look at the xfer case. After that I dont know what to tell you... I hope its something cheap though.
