yeah, to the best of my inspection it looks like the driver side cv shaft it's hopping pretty good when at speed. thats only 69.99 to replace, thats as cheap as an alighment so im gonna replace that, and hope. on that note, does anyone know how much play there should be where the cv shaft meets the inner shaft?

shouldnt be any play. CV joint - thats def where your vibration is. it shouldnt be loose at all.

well, now that i know what it is, can i get some help on how to take it off. today i tried to get it of and couldnt, took out the top ball joint and the lower shock mount bolt and stil couldnt get that sob off idk

havent done one on this truck, but it has IFS just like my old s-10 had. when i replaced the s-10 half shaft I had to take the axle nut off (which is a HUGE nut, not common among most garage mechanics... bigger than 1"), and had to use some forks/pullers (look like tuning forks) to break apart the tie rods and ball joints. you can rent those at most auto parts stores.

Yeah the axle nut size is 34 mm and I got all that loose just can't get it off the axle side
