Oh, well I would use the time between now and then to see if you can get him to bet more with you. Might as well make the race worthwhile.

the 5.4 is a dog, off the line the ford bites hard, quicker than the hemi, after the first twenty feet the ram is quicker.

Its all on the rear end gearing, the hemi with a 392 is a tire roaster, no potential for traction, the 5.4 3v ford with a 355 or 373 is feared for torque at low Rpms, some where betwean 1200 to 1500 Rpm is where the ford 5.43v is maxing out in torque, the variable valve timming really helps the 5.4 3v out in low to mid range torque.

The hemi maxs out with h/p and torque numbers higher in the rpm range, not sure on the exact specks, but the ford will getting a awsome view of a dodges behind, real quick.

I had a 5.4 3v in my 04 F-150, Dam thing never run right, cam phasser issues, electrical sytem would just randomly die out, and it was harder on flue than my hemi.

I had an 03 F-150 5.4L 4x4 for a little while. Thing didn't have that much guts and I got like 13 mpg.

Not to play devils advocate, but my brother in law had an f150 with the 5.4, with a nine inch lift. he had it regeared to 4.56's, and it would run pretty damned good with his hypertech.

You should roast him down the stretch, maybe not off the line, but she'll show her power down the stretch

I think tow/haul requires 91 octane.

Mine has. The 5.4L is a dog, I've beat F150s with my truck, Expeditions are even heavier, a Hemi Ram should embarrass him quite badly.

And Feej is right, Superchips Tow tune requires 91 or higher.
