Default Engine light

M y engine light came on so I had it checked at autozone. They said the code was the EGR valve so I went to my local Dodge dealer and got a new valve and out it on. When eill my check engine light go out? Thanks for any help......

if its not gone by the next time you fill up, have it checked again. a lot of times the computer will take a fuel cycle to figure out whats different (not that filling up has anything to do with it, except the distance/time driven)

unhook the positive bat cable for a few seconds and it will re-set
