Parts guys say that the chrome plastic hubcap goes on an aluminum wheel, not steel, but it is a different part number than the polished wheel... and I must have missed the puchline of the "big joke" because Dodge was the first to have a 20" wheel as a factory option and everybody has been playin catch'up every since. I love my 20's, they still look better than the facotry shoes that the Fords and Chevy's come with, hell even toyota and nissan dont have anything even that comes close. Thats what I think is funny...

The rims that look like mine (in the 17" and 20") are "chrome clad" (i.e. wheel covers/steel wheels) The other rims are chrome aluminum. I chose not to think of them as wheel covers, but instead a 2 piece chrome steel wheel. Frankly I like them. (My 7 year old likes them too as you can see)

if it comes with the Chrome Clad 20" wheels then yep, those are the plastic capped models... thats why its better to get the polished set instead. And after I clean mine really good they look just as good as the "chrome" ones anyway. Only trouble is that you cant use something like mothers to further polish them unless you like taking the clearcoat off of them.

It's a big joke...and that's why people instantly started making fun of Dodge since they introduced their "dubs" a few years ago. [:@]
I seem to remember putting tires on Fords and Chevys years ago with chrome clad wheels. Nothing more than a chrome cover attached to a steel or alunimum wheels. So Dodge is not the only one doing it!
