Exactly!!!!! I was still jealous when those commercials were running about how they were testing the new Ram's. Mine may be a ST and no HEMI but I love it to death

 

The new style is pure sex.

 

+10000000000!!!! The new HD's look intense and have some serious performance. The new DWR ram 3500 can pull 24,500 LBS without a problem. The F450, which was built just for towing mind you, can only pull 24,000. Hopefully the Ram will be able to finally take over the HD market from Ford. They have alway had the better engine, but now the transmission is close to Ford's and the truck itself has more capibilities. The Ford has a nicer interior, but many people aren't buying a 3500 for luxury driving purposes. 2010 should be an interesting year in the 2500/3500 world, especially with Ford and Navstar (international) ending there contract. This is going to be the first diesel that Ford has manufactured, on there own, in nearly 25 years. It supposedly will have 390hp + 700tq and get 3mpg better than the 6.4, but they are also building it themselves for the first time in 25 years. Plus they are using Urea injection instead of common rail fuel injection and they are using aluminum blocks instead of the cast iron, also not to mention this is going to be their first motor that is truely EPA certified. With the now dependable 6.7 Cummins, stronger truck frames, better 6 speed transmission, and very nice interior I think that Dodge will for sure be the way to go. Just my .02. The only thing is wish the dodge still had was a SFA, they have changed everything to a IFS suspension now. Although it is reinforced it is still an IFS. The F250/350 are the only things that have the SFA still and it looks like they will be switching to a IFS in 2011 when their new truck design comes out. Just the end of a gereration of true HD trucks as they move more into everyday trucks that will have much better street manners. I think as the technology on the IFS continues to increase it will be the supreme way to go. Man all of this talk makes me really want the 2010 2500. I just need to turn 21 next May so I can start working full time on the fire department to afford one.

 

i dont like the looks of them. the reason rams are so cool is because they have the round body style and have curves and are not just boxes. they were the first truck back in the 70's and 80's to have round body styling. but i sure wish i had all the other stuff they came with!!!

 

Plusher ride means towing sacrifice. I like the front ends better when your facing the '09's head on, but from the side...I don't like at all. I don't like the interior as much either. I like the white sport guages and a few other things on my '08. If I were to buy a new truck...I can't say it would be a '09 Ram 1500. it would have to be either a 2500 ram or maybe I'd venture over to a different company..cough..cough..Ford...They have the best towing capabilities which is what i look for when buying, although the new '09 F-150's are hideous with those new style taillights...puke... I'm not biased amongst ANY of the big 3. All i can say is, you'd never see a foreign truck in my driveway as long as the big 3 are still thriving.
