Black Hemi intake box

I agree with Dodgeboy...I eliminated my "dunce cap" and lost torque...as much as people like to say the manufacturer does not "watch out for your best interest"...the manufacturer does have reasons for restricting the air flow...take the air/fuel ratio for example...I just thought the more air I got in the 5.7L beast the better...WRONG...it was too lean...so until I get a programmer orr something to correct this...I wouldn't add too much air into the picture.

ok!!! CAIs do almost nothing as far as performance!!! u will only see a difference in MPG. and the "HAT" is a resonator. my dad is a world leading acoustics engineer and when we built my CAI he looked at it for a while and the only reason Dodge put it there was to make the engine quiter. so take it off if you want more sound. leave it if you dont. it isnt restrictive at all. not enough to make a difference anyways.

i mean a new intake will make the engine fun smother at higher RPMs because it is sucking 10 times as much air in then 2000rpm. and that is where you are seeing inclreases in performance. not due at all to the "cold" air going into the engine. its better to drive in the winter if you want a "cold" air intake.
