My trip to the dealership
So I finally got to the dealership yesterday about my corroded rims. There response was “I will see what I can do, it may have been caused by the salt on the roads in the winter or using acid to clean the rims”. My reply was I rinse my truck almost every day in the winter and why use wheel acid to clean the rims they never get dirty enough to use that ****. He then said (which about lit me off) “I don’t think they will claim it do you still want me to call them??” I very calmly said I spent $35,000 on a truck and you have the ***** to ask me if I want you to try to warranty my rims. He said “yes that’s what I asked”, I told him its not a question of him calling them, he will call Chrysler and inquire about the rims and should he chose not to I will call or E-mail them my self every day until the problem is resolved or they stop answering my calls or E-mails!!!! Then I will bring this to the news papers and news shows (that we are on the consumer side stuff they have) “ahhh yes sir I will contact them and resolve the problem sorry for any confusion on my part”

It is good you stood your ground. Dealers have replaced rims for others who have had the same issue, they should replace them for you too.

Dealers tend to do what they should only when pressed - I hate dickering, but I had to to get a fair price for my truck (blue book - $500.00) Personally I would have went with blue book if we would have started there. The Cadillac dealer didn't haggle at all (but he was selling below BB to start with) and he fixed the stuff I found after the sale no questions asked - they even programmed a set of keys for me for free. I do hate when you get jacked around. You can't avoid it, the only thing to do is minimize it. Know the warranty inside and out, bring it with you, and you start from a position of stregnth. If the warranty says they will fix/replace the wheels show it to them, if they disagree and you know you are right, either go to the district manager or lawyer up and have them handle it.
Does the warranty say "Void if the wheels ever get road salt on them"?
"I rinse my truck almost every day in the winter and why use wheel acid to clean the rims they never get dirty enough to use that ****."
Instead try "No, I have never used an acid based product on my wheels"
Never give them a question as an answer to a question - the fact is that the warranty either covers them or not, everything else is just dicking around. They are in business to not spend money, you are not there to make sure they succeed. You are there to get what you are contractually obligated to.
If that doesn't work It's a four-by... take an unscheduled trip through their showroom.
