Non-projector HIDs aren't illegal -- my brother's 01 Lexus LS430 has reflectors, as did Lincoln Mark VIII's since HIDs were an option in 1995. Yes, we're discussing something that's been on cars for almost 15 years and is still somehow a status symbol.

The lights in the video were ok except there's a HUGE amount of light above the cutoff, especially the two semicircles in the center. It looks bright enough that it probably still bothers oncoming traffic. I've converted my Subaru and its stock projectors have the best cutoff possible without doing a full retrofit.

I would like to have seen them demoed without the fogs on too.

So, can I mention this? I have an 04, the old style headlight. If I were to get the oracles, then get eyelids, I would be ok. It woul dhelp aim the light, right?

The big argument with having eyelids on the 04's, is narrowing the light coming from the lense. But, I think in this case, it would help... yah, or no?

From my understanding, in alot of states, HID's only legal on cars if they we're factory equipped with them, and you may be ticketed for ANY retrofit.

Silverstars, $50, tops. HIDs, to do t right? I dunno, around $250. Difference? If you have to ask, you would not believe the difference. Its amazing. You know how sometimes, you drive down the road, and its so dark, you cant even tell your lights are on? HID's, cut through the darkest dark, always, all the time. Worth the upgrade on a vehicle you will have for a long time.

I recently put an 8000k bi xenon kit in my 05 Ram 1500. The difference between the halogens and HID bulbs is huge. My low beam on my HIDs are better than my high beam on the halogens. By the way, I ordered from carhidkits.com. They have great customer service and great kits.

Edit: So far no oncoming drivers seem to be annoyed by the lights.
