I thought about that, but they *did* call me before they heated it or really wrenched on it to get the go-ahead... and what other option do you have? It's gott get done, and as long as they didn't attack the thing with a sledgehammer first before seeing if a lighter touch would have worked I can't find fault. I chalk it up to "s%$t happens"... They also could have just sold me a new control arm instad of finding a new bushing to press in and I wouldn't have known the difference, so I can't complain.
I would have to agree with you since they did call you back and tell you first. In my case they gave the truck back to me and I drove it for a few days. Then once I brought it back they told me I was lucky I didn't wreck the truck because the steering wheel would just keep turning and not stop. That is why I insisted they pay for it and give me a rental. I do agree you have found a good shop and i would just pay the $86 bucks as well.
No doubt their rates may be a bit higher than a smaller shop, but I can trust them to give me a fair shake, and stand behind their work - and to me that's money in the bank.
No doubt about that. That is hard to find now-a-days with dealships, probably a big reason so many are closing
