439# over for 120 more horsepower...haha come on Hemi44 stop arguing
5,139? According to my door, my regular cab v8 weighs more than that.

How is my weight logic useless? If you put a turbo on a hemi, it's acceleration will increase due to the change in force regardless if the weight is the same. The sts hemi will beat a lightning because it has a higher hp per pound ratio; which would also be higher than an srts hp per pound.

Don't get me wrong, i'd take an SRT over a lightning any day. My point being made is that in 1/4, a lightning can keep up with an srt. After that 1/4 the srt will be gone. People on here seem to think the only part that plays a role in a vehicles performance is it's hp.

The SRT is quicker in the 1/4 stock for stock unless the person does not know how to drive a manual. As I said way back when, stock for stock, the Lightning is easier/cheaper to mod.

Your truck is heavier because you have a 4x4, auto tranny and cast iron block.

rubberfrog I measure my ******* by the 1/4 mile time...so mine is bigger...lol

Lightning is a nice truck and there is a reason it reigned on top as the dominant truck for over a decade....that was until dodge shoved a Viper motor into a Ram pick up...
hemi44 have you even been in a SRT-10???
I never was up until about a week before I bought my truck..also been in a lightning....the ram pulls soo hard through every gear it's unreal...
like someone said 1/4 times the Lightning stays near......on the highway forget the ram will leave it seeing only 2 little red lights off in the distance!

this has nothing to do with this but WHY THE HELL IS FORD ADVERTISING ON A DODGE FORUM?????

Yes. My dad had an 04 the same color as my truck but sold it the beginning of 07 when he got his Acura TSX.

sure the lightning is cheaper and easier to mod, but stock for stock the lightning can "keep up" in the 1/4 mile, and to me...you win or you loose, theres no "oh i got close" lol.
