Got Smoked by a SRT-10
i'm out that way quite a bit....i'll definitely give you a heads up...and that might be a bad idea becuase I'll probably want to leave with the 6.0L...hahaha! you do the same if you're ever in the hollywood area
where did you get your info if i may ask???? there are guys on the vtcoa running stock or maybe just a CAI and are taking lightnings all day...all the lightning is, is a 2 door harley Davidson supercharged...same as the 10 they have 2 and 4 door with same engine.....just like ford....don't get me wrong I have always been a fan of the lightning, just don't think it has what it takes to run on a 10 unless heavy mods...also there is way more room to grow on a 10 than a blown 8...remember srt-10 holds the title of the worlds fastest production truck to date....that right there is a claim that you just can't argue with!
Edit: I was wrong, its the Holden HSV Maloo R8, 168.7 mph top speed, which beats the SRT10 by 14 mph, although this vehicle is car based and not "truck" based. I say put a bed on the back of an SRT8 Charger and let the fun begin...

awesome posts....that driver is a pro, and you'd need tires at the end of the day....just look at the engines...no comparison between the Lightning and 380HP....4.9 0-60......great vids...and i don't know about that guy but mine is functional..i tow load the bed and use the back seat for girls!!!!!
yea i used to love pulling up to those loud as$ honda's in my PSD ford and just spool up then leave them in the black smoke..asking themselves was that a 5 ton truck that just pulled on us! then they catch up to you at the next light and are like holy$hit what is in that thing! made me smile every time!
I find it hilarious that you love the power potential of a diesel (because bone stock they're a dog...Cummins, Powerjoke whichever) yet you're completely dismissing the lightnings potential and weight advantage (even stock they're in the 13's...380bhp and all)...which would make a decently modded one just as fast as an modded diesel. 500+rwhp lightnings are the norm around here...and it doesn't take much to get them there.
I personally don't see anything hilarious about the power potential of DIESELS because they're real and extremely light modding (i'm talking a tune for $400) will have quite a few people turning heads watching a 10K lb 4x4 move like that!
So please tell me.... what's hilarious again???? Just face it the lightning is a 9 year old truck that outdated now...I mean hell Ford already has Harley Davidson 4 doors S/C throwing down 450 HP
P.S> look down at the sig pic...that truck beats lightnings STOCK...and all I would have to do to hit over 520+ rwhp is a Stage II, cat-deletes and full exhaust system.......stock it throws down somewhere near 450-475 RWHP

Your truck may have 475 rwhp, but how much does it weigh?
Do you even know how much lighter a lightning is than a srt?Maybe you just slept in physics class and missed the section on acceleration where it involves force and MASS

look...severe and got hemi.... a lightning is a nice truck but does not match up to the SRT, there is no arguement in that, well maybe there is but thats for another time. as far as diesels go, sweet SRT knows, hes owned a diesel and as an owner myself theres nothing like a diesel engine. sure its not for everyone but dont going saying things you dont know, and as sweet SRT said, our 10,000lb (well like 9200) truck will kill a lightning with very cheap mods, not to mention the ridiculous amounts of torque. i dont think the lightning will compare to the power and torque of a diesel and theres nothing like modding one, just using sweetsrt's example of a tune for $400.... i paid $550 for my tuner and another $60 for my buddy to custom make me a tune that gave me 196 ponies just off the tune let alone all of the other mods i have.....matter of fact when i got on the highway to leave school today some jackass in an M6 was weaving through traffic so i figured id catch him and give him a run, i actually thought he would beat me but he would be surprised i could keep up. boy was i wrong! i left that M6 like he was standing still.
