Default Jack location in 2005 Ram?

Hi,

I recently bought a used 2005 ram. I see that the jack is under the front seat, but the actual jack is all that's there. There is no lug wrench or any other apparent tool to lower the spare or raise the jack. Is there any other place it could be hidden. I would look in the owners manual but that's gone as well. Thanks for the help.

Should be in a little leather bag velcro'd to the jack. Mine broke while lifting my rear end with an ATV in the back, so I just keep a Craftsman in my toolbox. The regular one isn't the most comfortable to be under

If it's a QC like mine then then jack and the stuff that goes with it all should be under the passenger seat. There is a place for it to bolt to the floor. If yours isn't there then you need to buy one. Personally if I had to buy one I wouldn't buy the factory jack. I would get a small floor jack or a bottle jack and keep it in the toolbox(if you have one) or under the back seat. As previously said the factory jack doesn't seem to be very safe.

Thanks for the replies. The truck is a quad cab. There's no bag under the seat so it must be gone. Will go to salvage yard or get a small floor jack.

Anyone have any recommendations on a good bottle jack that works well with our trucks? All the ones I seem to find just have a round top, and I'd be afraid it would slide off.

I thought about that too since I don't have a spare either, but if I need to replace an axle in the back woods it would be a good idea to keep it in there.
