Hemi Tick
The fuel varies a lot I have noticed and even my 4.7l was very "sensitive" to different fuel, but I don't think that's what the tick is, cause first off, you're supposed to use 89 or higher in HEMIs and I don't know what people do, but the tick is there
not because of the tick, but because the oil pump in hemi's were designed for 5w20. It should 5w20 on your oil cap.
Okay well, I had read that 5w20 was necessary for motors with MDS. For all the rest, that is, prior to 2006, it's 5w30. I might be wrong then...
My oil cap says nothing about what oil

Maybe they lied to get a 3500 sale. But you figure about 20 gallons per day average on 3500k vehicles (assuming not all fill up daily. Some twice in a day). That equals 70,000 gallons a day.
Say gas is $4 a gallon for 87. That's $280,000 a day in fuel. If you went with mid grade at 4.15 a gallon that's $290,500 a day. Difference of 10,500 a day.
Times that by 5 days then by say 45 weeks a year. You spend about an extra $2.3 million dollars a year to run 89 (mid) grade
Food for thought
I will admit the tick is very very annoying.
But I don't pay the bill so I can't complain too much. I just think for a public image at least have a vehicle that doesn't sound like it's broken right off the delivery truck from the manufacture
