Yeah, I did a big study on this if you will and compared it with 3 different resistors and gave temp results and mpgs.

Try looking at these two threads

AIT sensors w/ inline resistors for more MPGs

PowerWire v/s 4.7k resistor

Ya I read those threads. I also read on another forum that the airram guy responded to questions and it sounded like more than a resistor because it compensated for (something a resistor couldn't do, i have to find his post).everyone seems to like his stuff so i assumed he was telling the truth.

The Power Wire is nothing but a 4.7k resistor wired nice and neat in a PnP harness. You need to go back and read my second link on my first post. I put up pic of a resistance reading using a Fluke VOM to show what the value was.

I have a powerwire and it is ok. Honestly, I would not pay $50 for it or whatever the price is. Mine was free so I don't mind it but if I was you I would just make one like weedahoe explained in his links.

has anyone taken a power wire apart? it could be an active device and it is only showing 4.7k at the voltage the meter is putting out. I am leery of making my own, isn't there a problem if you hook it up backwards?

Do it right and get a dag on tuner. My Predator does more than any resistor can do.
You ain't gonna get 20 RWHP from a resistor.
A resistor works in either direction, so you can't mess it up. A diode only flows in one direction.
