Then there's that dude that gets 15-19mpg towing a 9500lb trailer in the hills of Wyoming with his gasser hemi, oh wait, that's me
Course I don't have 20" wheels, lower gears, or a lead foot.
I certainly don't consider it slow either!
Since these trucks are so darn cheap these days, I'd almost say 19k would be too much, even with all that added "goodness", 15k-17k would sound good though.
And just to vent, why the heck put on a lift and massive wheel/tire combos when you aren't gonna use them? If apperances are that important, go date Britney Spears. Don't waste functionality for looks, it's a waste of time/money/resources.

severe said it, everyones idea of quick is different, ive been in stock megacab 1500's and they dont move too well nor get 19mpg! i personally would not buy a 1500 MC, but thats just me. nice looking truck and some would love to have it, just not me. so do what you feel is right and what you want. downsides are mileage and power IMO, upside is you now have a 2500 chasis (solid front axle) big *** cab and a much newer truck. if it was me in the situation i would pass it up and wait for something else but im also the guy that wont buy another gas truck...
Trust me if the truck had a cummins I would be all over it but we might get it for $12000 so I can't pass it up. Plus those cummins are going from $30000 to $40000. Also if it was up to me the lift is a little big but hey its already on there so who cares. I'm not too worried about the power becuase it is a huge truck that's not ment to go fast
Sweet truck - it looks tough. The 6" lifts are sweet. Hell, 90% of all 4WDs on the road don't see dirt. Who cares? It looks freakin' bad a$$!
To me, the mega cabs look best with a lift and bigger tires. They are a little long with the stock wheels and no lift. But that truck looks great. Go for it! The lift and the wheels are probably $6K alone!

heres my current truck, minus the crap dent fix with paint that doesnt match, the white houspaint down the whole side of the truck becuase of a 5 gallon bucket of white paint fell in the road infront of me, and the new oem replacement tailgate that is way thinner than the original.
I know I am going to upset most people but if i could get any truck it would be a toyota tundre crewmax lifted white with black wheels but that is wayyyy to expensive so I trying to go a cheaper route.
For those that say to keep my truck my plans were to have it painted either black or white, put a rancho lift with black 17's on 35". exhuast, programmer, intake and little odds and ends to make it feel new again. but then again the truck is going to hit the 100,000 mile mark soon so I have no idea of what to do.

I love my 1500 Mega Cab as far as the room and ride. However, the Hemi....I am sorry for those that like it.....SUCKS! I have 4.10 gears, stock tires and get 9.5mpg in town and 13 HWY. I just came back from a camping trip towing a 2,500lb popup trailer and got a whopping 10.5 mpg 90% of which was 65mph freeway. I am counting the days until I can get a Cummins again.... it got 18 MPG pulling the same trailer at 75mph instead of 65mph. I miss my 05 cummins sooooo bad.
