Default 2008 4.7 oil cooler flush

Performed my first oil change yesterday on my 2008 QC 4.7.

curious if anyone ever figured out a way to flush the entire system including the oil cooler ?

I hated to change my oil twice but I did it

Because he wanted that 1/2 quart or so in the cooler to be pushed out. He obviously is NOT using synthetic oil......LOL

no, havent changed over to synthetic.

changed it twice to be sure , because i found a sticker under th ehood from the last oil change that indicated it was done with 10w30.

i was shocked at how dirty 3000 mile oil looked. i have heard about synthetic
coming out about as clean as it went in the engine.

is the dino grease just breaking down , or is it actually collecting a lot of dirt inside the engine that syntetic is not picking up ?

oh and going from a 2000 4.7 in a dakota to the new 4.7 in this 2008 was a huge difference.

Oil cooler? You mean for the power steering? I don't think you have a separate engine oil cooler ubless it came with some sort of package.

Just a wee bit of overkill. So there are three smaller "radiators"?

Can you post a pic? There should be two...tranny and power steering.

Radiator, trans cooler, PS fluid cooler (black) and a/c condenser. No oil cooler on my 08 with a Hemi and tow package.
