cheaper than paying someone to powdercoate or paint is to do it yourself. plus you get to take pride in your work . me i had chrome grill , tips, tool bok and badges . i painted them myself with paint from lowes and a some roll on bed liner for the tool box cost 50 bucks and looks just as great if not better than a prof. job. plus i did it my self.
man, wish i could have found someone to do mine for $125... I painted mine myself, and it has been about a month and it is holding up well so far. It is easy to do, just hit it with some steel wool to give it a brushed finish, then use self-etching primer. Then paint and clear....easy stuff! WAY cheaper to do it yourself, just take your time and dont forget to wet sand.
You can do it yourself. Make sure to prime with a urethane primer after the self-etch primer. If you don't, the chrome will erode the finish. You have to seal the chrome. Best bet is to do like Raider said. Find a base model black set.
yeah every where else it was 300$ but i guess this place did alot of the black for a company so they said it would be cheap because they could just put mine in with theres
