Angry Trim Stain

Sorry for another auto body-related post, but, After waxing a few months ago (before this month's waxing) I had been using a 6" or so Craftsman buffer and I had gotten classic Meguiars wax on the black door handles and now I can not get it out.
I tried an ancient bottle of black bumper restore stuff but that just put a coating of black film on the handles that flaked off later that day. I tried Armor-All later and with extreme scrubbing I got some of the wax off, but there was wax that refused to come off in other places! I don't know what to do.

I really need help here.

Thanks in Advance.

I actually prefer having them black.

Just my opinion.

That seems like a good idea but maybe it is a little too agressive. I might try it though some time. I'll keep you posted.

I think I may switch waxes, getting the residue off of plastic from this one is a PIA!

I plan to have the truck for a long time so I don't want to do any irreversible damage.

Thanks Silver!

Simple Green is not going to hurt your door handles. I have heard of people using Acetone on them with no ill effects. (I wouldnt though) I use Isopropal alcohol and a medium brush to get the wax residue off on my truck.

you could use some Grease/Wax Remover. The stuff you use to prep for paint, and while your prepping....paint them black and a clear and they will be less likely to stain any more.
