They are probably one of the best combo's for the truck. I just am trying to figure out what size pad I need. How can there be two different thicknesses for our front truck pads. I want the .650's, but if they don't fit then I don't want to deal with the hassle of sending them back and buying the .622's and then having to take the tires off again and change them. Everyone I have ever talked to with this combo has absolutly loved it and I know that it is proven on our heavy rams under extreme conditions. Grr... If only there was more info on their website.

i'm running brembo rotors with hawk LTS ... love it ... if there's noise i don't hear it and as far as dust i haven't noticed any

small suggestion that will make your life a whoooooole lot easier ... while you're under there ... install some speed bleeders ... such an awesome little device

I looked into hawkperformance.com and I looks like I can use the .650 thickness which is really good. Now its a decision of the high performance ceramics or the LTS ferro-carbons. I am leaning towards the Ceramics again. lol Christ my fiance can make up her mind on things easier than I have on this... and that is not a good thing. lol

Hey Weight, I'm gonna say that you need the .650 being you have a 1500 QC. I would guess that the .622's are for the MegaCabs because they require a thicker rotor, therefore needing a thinner pad. Just a hunch is all. Not positive on that.

It is an honor and a privelage to be in the same list of names as these guys. Thanks for the compliment.

Sorry it took so long, i just got around to readin this thread. As far as the .622 and .650, I would definently say go with what you know fits. Logic would say an extra .028 thickness isnt gonna make a big difference, considering how much you have to move the piston(s) in for new pads anyway. Seems like they'd probably fit, but I'd hate for them to not fit, and now you've got an expensive set of pads all for an extra few miles out of them

Or are the .622 for the 1500's and the .650 for the 2500's because they use more brakes? I see your argument and its certainly valid. It could go either way.

I think i'd go with the risk and get the .650's

From what hawk performance was saying the .650's will fit the 1500 QC's though and so I think that is the way to go. I think Dog has the right idea as far as the QC vs. MC rams. And the pads for the 2500 are in a different catagory so I know that they are not for those. I think I am going to get the .650's then for sure. Now it's just deciding between the ceramics or the LTS pads.
And AF you have helped many of my questions in the past, as have all the people that I listed. I just want to say thanks guys... I have learned alot about working on these tanks just from being on this forum.

I would go with the LTS pads. Just make sure you go to your local parts store and pick up a packet or 2 of the disc brake quiet silicone stuff. Apply that to the backside of the pads that touch the calipers. It will eliminate any squeels that would have otherwise occured. It's like $1 a packet. You install the pad right away after you coat it. it will also hold the pads to the caliper when it releases and helps it not stick under high heat if the sliders aren't lubed anymore.

You'll be very happy with the LTS pad. I had thei Carbon Ferro on my mustang and stopping power was unbeatable. Next to nothing as far as dust. if you keep your truck clean often, none of the better pads will have any amount of build-up compared to the crap Semi-mteallic that local stores sell.

Alright Dog I will go with the LTS pads. They will work really well for my truck, especially with towing and eventually larger tires. I have heard alot of good things about the ceramics, but I have heard just as many about the Ferro Carbons. I am going to go with the .650's because according to hawkperformance.com they will fit my QC ram 1500. Now its a matter of ordering the parts. I can get the rotors from airram.com for like $184 for the front rotors, where as everyone else sells the powerslots for close to $230. Now i just need to find where to order the pads from because nick doesn't carry the ones that I need. Oh well I will get them ordered tomorrow because I need to replace them soon. And thank you for the tip about the brake silicone. That is a really good idea and for $1 it is clearly a no brainer.

Pads front/back http://www.autoanything.com/brakes/6...0A1932742.aspx

Rotors...Airram, but spend the extra cash and get the Cryo version. Much.much better. They should last a really long time! here's a link for what I found on the same site as above. http://www.autoanything.com/brakes/20A50534A1.aspx

Ohh, don't forget the dabs of Anti-seize on the backside of the rotors!
