For those with PowerSlot Rotors & Hawk Pads
As many of you have probably faced in the past I am troubled by a warped rotor on my 05 ram 1500. I have decided that brakes are important to safety so I am going to replace both front rotors and get new pads, seeing as how I am 200 miles away from 50k. I am going to buy the PowerSlot Rotors for sure, but I am not sure which brake pad to get. I am thinking of going with the ceramics because they will last longer, be quiter, have much less brake dust, and stop almost as well as the Hawk HP superduty pads. I do alot of in town driving and when I do tow I hook up to a 18ft bass boat. I need pads that will handle that and eventually that + 37'' tires. I am thinking to go with the ceramics, but I figured I would ask you guys some questions first. I am set on the PowerSlot Rotors so I only have to decide between the two sets of hawk pads. My questions are as follows...
1) For those that are using hawk pads, which pads are you using?
2) Do you like their performance... i.e stopping distance, sound, brake dust
3) Would you use them if you were towing or lifted your truck?
4) Would you buy them again after they eventually wore out or if you purchased a new truck?

I am leaning towards the Ceramics though because a few of my friends that work in mechanic shops say that the ceramics are better than the Hp superduty pads as far as dust, noise, longevity, and are close to equal in stopping distance. I am just curious as to what you guys have heard or experienced. I can get both powerslot rotors and the hawk pads for $275 on my door step and I can easily install them myself. I just need to make a decision before I ruin my ball joints/tie rods from the current rotors.

2) Yes, stops great, I don't notice the dust because I wash it often, can't
hear any noise between the intake and exhaust lol
3) I tow an 18' runabout and up until recently an 18' flatbed, works great

I heard that these pads make some noise and was informed to go with ceramics. Are you running those pads?
Alright I am looking at the LTS Hawk pads, but I am stuck between two pads. Both are the same pads, but one is a .622 thickness and one is a .650 thickness. I would like the .650 obviously, but can I use those instead of the .622's? They also offer a .610, but those are for the rear. Can anyone help me out on the .622 vs. .650 thickness on the same type of brake pad?
Anyone know the answer on if I can run the .650 or .622 thick pads on the front end of my ram. I know that the .622's would fit, but naturally I would like the .650's due to the fact that they are the same price.
