So i noticed since I put on my home brew 4" CAI that at cruising speeds I could hear a kind of quick sucking sound every once and a while. Sounded like I quickly stepped on the gas, but I didn't. I was wondering what the heck it could be.......well.......

After installing the MDS indicator light.......the sound happens every time the MDS kicks in! Only when kicking in though not out. Anybody know why droppig to 4 cyl. would cause this sound> any body else notice this on 06 and newer with a CAI?

 

i have a vpi intake and i can hear it since i put it on. i think someone said the factory one muffles it enough to be unnoticable.

 

Because the torque converter unlocks 30% and the throttlebody opens up farther when in MDS mode.

 

Very possible what you are hearing is the EGR Valve opening and closing and not really MDS...

 

Ya, it was annoying so i disabled it.
