so i did a search and see that this is an emissions leak - checked gas cap - its fine. my question is, i'm driving 10 hours tomorrow am - is this safe? should i stay an extra few days to get fixed before the trip?
thanks!
mine's been throwing the 0456 code for over a month, it hasn't affected my rig at all. i also have no plans on fixing it anytime soon. go ahead and drive.
check the hoses on the under carraige where the evap charcoal canister is on the driver side.. might have a few small cracks. happened to mine and just fixed it last week.. simple fix

This is what I did for the Second time yesterday and I finally found a hose on the top that was cracked. I had to remove each hose before I found it but I finally found it. I reset the computer and towed my boat all day yesterday and so far no engine light. Hopefully I fixed it, I guess we will see. Good luck.

How did you check the cap...just glancing at it doesn't count. Replace it
