Hey Ed, it's a 440, I'm sure you can shoehorn it in. By the way, are you in Utah? I'm in Layton on the base...

That's the thing, its NOT a 440, this is "B" block (361, 383, 400) based. You put a 440 crank into the 400 block (400 actually has bigger bores than a 440, but the short stroke of a 383) and its instant 451 low block (after enlarging the main bores or cutting down the crank mains). The beauty of it is, you can claim its a 383 if you want, and no one is the wiser til the vehicle is sideways!

I would think besides beefing up your tranny etc, how would you get the pcm, and all those other dasterdly electronics to work with your current harness. Thats the problem I ran into. Also, I would worry about failing emissions, but I am in PA. It would be a nice science experiment though...
