Default Getting head replaced. Cams for 5.7 hemi?

Well as in my other post my head is getting completely replaced on my ram under warranty. My quick question is are there any performance cams I can put in there without doing anything else major? Will they help out with power at all? Mine is an 06 5.7 hemi gas. Anything else performance wise I can do while the head is off ? Thanks

Also saw a performance cam for the 5.7 but didnt know if it would fit and if it would make a difference. Any serious answers would be sweet!

Do you have anything in terms of tuning for a cam? Maybe a SC, DSP or SCT?

I was planning on getting a dsp down the road but I might get it sooner if I can get this done in time. Didnt plan on having a new head installed within a week of buying this truck lol.

I also saw on moes they are having a special on that vararam intake system. What are your thoughts on that too? OR just stick with an mopar intake or something cheaper along those lines?

Are you trying to get the cam install while it's still in the shop? They'll still charge you quite a bit because the hemi is a pushrod engine...one cam goes through the block unlike the 4.7 which has a cam in each head. Couldn't hurt to ask them though...actually it could because of your warranty.
