Default Reverse stall out issue

off and on in the past 2 years when i put the truck in reverse and backing up VERY slowly the truck would bog down and sometimes die. it doesnt happen often just random times. i talked to the shop and they said they would charge me if they could not duplacate it just to check it out, but it doesnt happen often enough for me to do that. does anyone have an input on this?

If you have colder plugs that could be causing this especially with a cooler thermostat. Pull your plugs and check 'em for proper combustion temps.

Only way to properly tell plugs comubustion temp is to run WOT on highway for a brief period and then shut the truck off and roll to a stop.

I would say, if you have a tuner, turn up the idle 50rpms and see if that eliminates the issue. Also, clean your IAC valve.

And then what? The temp a plug runs at is determined by the depth of the well around the center electrode. Shallow= cold running plug, deep= hot running plug. You can tell alot by pulling the plugs and reading them.
