Default Tail light harness troubles-HELP!

I have an 03 1500 reg cab short bed 4x4 w/towing. When i bought it, i bought some cheap aftermarket tail lights, a style with the circuit boards. Well, those were total crap, and the harness that came with them that plugged into the factory harness (the plug that goes on the back of the tail light circuit board), never had a good seal and caused some major wire rot. I had to re-wire them 3 times, cuz of problems, constantly getting the lamp out light on the dash. This past monday they stopped working again, all bulbs checked out fine. Anyway, i finally picked up some new OEM style tail lights, installed them, and now i'm getting the lamp out light. I am 99% sure my factory harness that runs to the tail lights is bad, just from me messing with it so much, jumping wires to get my tail lights to work. I want to replace the entire harness, just to get rid of the headache. The only factory part i can find is this-part #82207253. Is that the entire rear harness? Runs the 7 way to the bumper and splits off to both tail lights? Does it just plug in somewhere towards the cab and thats it?

Are those bulbs you are using LEDs of filament type bulbs? LEDs without resistors built in or added if not built in will give you that Lamp Out light on the dash.

They are regular filament type bulbs.

Dont hold me to it but I think I read where some of the Rams had regular tail light issues where it was loose sockets or something. Maybe some other people will chime in and help. It you disconnect the back piece off the light housings and just let them hang there and turn them on with the regular bulbs, so all of the light up as theyre supposed to?

not sure what i did, but they're working now, no lamp out indicator, everything is good. I just disconnected the plugs again from the back of the boards, plugged back in, no problems......whatever, i'm just happy i can stop worrying about getting a ticket for it haha
