hey guys, been member for awhile, havnt posted much though. havin a problem and i can't seem to figure it out

got an 04 ram single cab, 4.7v8. problem started a couple weeks ago. whats happening is, when i get in and turn my key to ignition, it automatically cranks and starts, i don't have to keep turning it or nothing

at first i thought my remote start system was screwin something up and backfeeding into the starter wire, so i completely removed it and wired everything back to factory (i do that **** for a living so if anyone needs to know wiring info or audio ****, gimme a shout), and the problem is still there.

so i figured ok, that's not it. and found out if i grab my ignition harness and wiggle it, it beeps when i move it a certain direction. so i started thinking maybe its my ignition cylinder.

then i took my starter relay out of the fuse box, replaced it, and my truck worked fine. started up like its supposed to. few hours later, it was cranking on its own again.

pulled the relay, put the same one back in, and it was cranking like normal again.

so somehow, that relay is locking up, but i can't figure it out


any suggestions on what i can check next, or has anyone had this problem before and can let me know what they did?
