i have been running long tube headers, y-pipe with no cats and a flowmaster delta 40 muffler for almost 2 years no, been in stop checks, pulled over for tickets and never once been told i had to change something about my exhaust. Maybe they are not as harsh on them in Canada

Im just saying that if your puting headers onto something, its pointless to keep a CAT in there because u are defeating the purpose of the headers and wasting your money.
Read your first sentence, think it over (not to hard, wouldn't want you to hurt yourself), then tell me what's wrong with it. I'm not a tree hugger, but I'm not going to go pollute the air just for the hell of it. I also wasn't aware that your engine size was based solely off your views on emissions.

So based off your theory, headers are worthless with a cat in the system? What if i were to install a performance high flow cat? Would my headers still be worthless?

yup only way to gain optimum performance out of headers it to have a completely flowing exhaust. Having a cat in there is like putting headers on but leaving the stock crimped together y-pipe. AND a hi-performance cat everybody says is no different then a stock cat, so they would be a waste of money if u put headers on or if you didnt.
