You're just pissed that my 4.7 is louder than your Hemi. You can admit, we understand...

I have been looking at the 50 HD too because I still use my truck for towing. I had a 40 series on my Ford and the cab noise was unbearable. I would like a nice sounding muffler, with added performance and little cab noise. What would you suggest?

Nice sounding, added performance and little cab noise is not flowmaster. You want to look at a magnaflow if you are looking for all three of those things in one muffler.

I've got a Cherry Bomb Extreme on my truck, and it screams when you mash the pedal... but it is quiet, civilized and doesn't drone at cruising speed, and it flows well. You couldn't ask for better out of a muffler.

I know, I'll just have to get by with the extra 100 HP or so...

which muffler is used in the kit for the magnaflow? i have pretty much decided againts buying a kit even though the magnaflow is stainless i cant afford it on my budget so if i decide to go with magnaflow i just want to buy the muffler then ill have the rest done.

what about pipe sizes, my friend has 3" on his and a muffler that im not sure of (tiny think looks like the cherry bomb but im almost 100% sure its not) his has a nice throaty tone and its still pretty loud... all my confusion about which to buy i almost just want to have mine built exactly the same even though i know it wont sound the same (his is a z71)

Your ram has a stainless 3" exhaust from the factory...yes those pipes are stainless. Go to magnaflows website and look at their mufflers...there's no need to buy a kit if you can't afford it. Remember, magnaflow sells by length and not series like flowmaster...the shorter the muffler the louder it will be.

Summit racing might sell magnaflow for cheaper http://www.summitracing.com/

Even though I'm a fan of FM if your on a tight budget buying just the magnaflow muffler might be your best bet. Just cut off your stock system blot on a magnaflow muffler and dump it before the rear axle and your golden. That would be the way to go on a budget.

I buy the muffler and tips and cat and then get the piping bent and everything put on in the shop, what ever setup you want.
